National Congress of American Indians (NCAI)
The National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) was founded in 1944 in response to termination and assimilation policies that the United States forced upon the tribal governments in contradiction of their treaty rights and status as sovereigns. NCAI stressed the need for unity and cooperation among tribal governments for the protection of their treaty and sovereign rights.
Washington Association of Sheriffs & Police Chiefs (WASPC)
The Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs was founded in 1963 and consists of executive and top management personnel from law enforcement agencies statewide. WASPC’s function is to provide specific materials and services to all law enforcement agencies in the state, members and non-members alike.
International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP)
The International Association of Chiefs of Police is the world’s oldest and largest nonprofit membership organization of police executives, with over 20,000 members in over 89 different countries. IACP’s leadership consists of the operating chief executives of international, federal, state and local agencies of all sizes.
IACP National Law Enforcement Leadership Institute on Violence against Women

IACP National Law Enforcement Policy Center
In 1987, the International Association of Chiefs of Police entered into a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Justice Department’s Bureau of Justice Assistance to establish a National Law Enforcement Policy Center. The objective of the center was to assist law enforcement agencies across the country in the critical and difficult task of developing and refining law enforcement policy.

Womencare Shelter is an empowerment-based organization working to end domestic violence by providing emergency, confidential shelter, 24 hour crisis support services and community education.
Bellingham/Whatcom County Commission against Domestic Violence
The Bellingham-Whatcom County Commission Against Domestic Violence was created by a Bellingham-Whatcom County joint resolution in 1998 to provide leadership in the communities efforts to reduce and prevent domestic violence. The Commission works with local agencies, institutions, and community members by providing resources, support, and technical assistance.
Women Spirit Coalition
Women Spirit Coalition is one of several Tribal Coalitions across the United States that strives to provide a voice for Native women and their families who have suffered because of domestic violence, sexual assault, teen dating violence and stalking.
